Artificial intelligence (AI), has the ability to solve Tic-Tac Toe. Matching up nine-element vectors to a ternary number is how the game works. This ternary number can be converted to a decimal number and used as an index in a large Move-Table. However, a large Move-Table will take up lots of memory space. So how can AI solve this game?
Minimax
Minimax is an algorithm that AIs use when playing the game. This algorithm evaluates the moves until it finds the terminal state. Minimax selects only moves with high scores. When a human player is present, Minimax chooses moves with low scores. Whenever a decision is made, the algorithm considers the utility of each move to make the best choice.

Alpha-beta pruning
In order to reduce redundant nodes, AI algorithms often use Alpha-beta pruning. This scheme involves the algorithm going to node A, changing alpha to the maximum value, returning that value to node C, and then transferring it to nodes F and F.
Tree-based search algorithm
A tree-based algorithm for optimizing graphs or trees is one type of search algorithm. It begins at the root, then moves along every branch until reaching the solution. This algorithm can also work in a stack. This search algorithm may prove to be efficient in solving a problem. However it requires domain knowledge.
Minimax with alpha beta pruning
Alpha-beta Pruning is a technique for reducing the computations in the minimax search algorithm. This method assigns the nodes at their ply depth heuristics values, and propagates them up. In this algorithm, the alpha value is assigned to the MAX node and never decreases, while the beta value is associated with the MIN node. This method ensures that the machine does not lose more players than it gains.
Alpha-beta pruning in tree-based search algorithm
Alpha-beta pruning uses a tree-based search algorithm. It consists of a set if rules that govern how each node's value is calculated, starting with beta at root. The search algorithm then backtracks the tree to A and changes alpha at E. If alpha exceeds beta, then the successor node is removed. This method is also useful for solving problems in machine learning.

Stochastic element
Modeling river flow is one way to apply stochastic behavior and artificial intelligence. This model can be used to help decide makers implement flood control measures and reduce damage from natural catastrophes. In a recent study, researchers compared three artificial intelligence models and two stochastic models on daily data from 2001 to 2015. Researchers also examined how the river water quality was affected by hydrological drought each year. The AI models showed better results.
FAQ
Why is AI important
In 30 years, there will be trillions of connected devices to the internet. These devices will cover everything from fridges to cars. The combination of billions of devices and the internet makes up the Internet of Things (IoT). IoT devices can communicate with one another and share information. They will also be capable of making their own decisions. A fridge might decide to order more milk based upon past consumption patterns.
It is estimated that 50 billion IoT devices will exist by 2025. This is a tremendous opportunity for businesses. But it raises many questions about privacy and security.
Is Alexa an artificial intelligence?
Yes. But not quite yet.
Alexa is a cloud-based voice service developed by Amazon. It allows users to interact with devices using their voice.
First, the Echo smart speaker released Alexa technology. However, since then, other companies have used similar technologies to create their own versions of Alexa.
Some examples include Google Home (Apple's Siri), and Microsoft's Cortana.
Which countries are leaders in the AI market today, and why?
China leads the global Artificial Intelligence market with more than $2 billion in revenue generated in 2018. China's AI industry is led in part by Baidu, Tencent Holdings Ltd. and Tencent Holdings Ltd. as well as Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. and Xiaomi Technology Inc.
China's government is investing heavily in AI research and development. The Chinese government has established several research centres to enhance AI capabilities. These include the National Laboratory of Pattern Recognition and State Key Lab of Virtual Reality Technology and Systems.
Some of the largest companies in China include Baidu, Tencent and Tencent. These companies are all actively developing their own AI solutions.
India is another country where significant progress has been made in the development of AI technology and related technologies. India's government is currently working to develop an AI ecosystem.
Who is the inventor of AI?
Alan Turing
Turing was conceived in 1912. His father was a priest and his mother was an RN. After being rejected by Cambridge University, he was a brilliant student of mathematics. However, he became depressed. He learned chess after being rejected by Cambridge University. He won numerous tournaments. He worked as a codebreaker in Britain's Bletchley Park, where he cracked German codes.
He died in 1954.
John McCarthy
McCarthy was born on January 28, 1928. He was a Princeton University mathematician before joining MIT. The LISP programming language was developed there. He had laid the foundations to modern AI by 1957.
He died in 2011.
How does AI work
An artificial neural networks is made up many simple processors called neuron. Each neuron processes inputs from others neurons using mathematical operations.
Neurons are arranged in layers. Each layer serves a different purpose. The raw data is received by the first layer. This includes sounds, images, and other information. These are then passed on to the next layer which further processes them. Finally, the last layer produces an output.
Each neuron has its own weighting value. This value gets multiplied by new input and then added to the sum weighted of all previous values. If the result exceeds zero, the neuron will activate. It sends a signal along the line to the next neurons telling them what they should do.
This process continues until you reach the end of your network. Here are the final results.
What can AI be used for today?
Artificial intelligence (AI), also known as machine learning and natural language processing, is a umbrella term that encompasses autonomous agents, neural network, expert systems, machine learning, and other related technologies. It is also called smart machines.
Alan Turing wrote the first computer programs in 1950. He was intrigued by whether computers could actually think. He presented a test of artificial intelligence in his paper "Computing Machinery and Intelligence." This test examines whether a computer can converse with a person using a computer program.
John McCarthy, who introduced artificial intelligence in 1956, coined the term "artificial Intelligence" in his article "Artificial Intelligence".
Many AI-based technologies exist today. Some are simple and easy to use, while others are much harder to implement. These include voice recognition software and self-driving cars.
There are two main categories of AI: rule-based and statistical. Rule-based relies on logic to make decision. To calculate a bank account balance, one could use rules such that if there are $10 or more, withdraw $5, and if not, deposit $1. Statistical uses statistics to make decisions. A weather forecast may look at historical data in order predict the future.
What can AI do for you?
AI has two main uses:
* Prediction – AI systems can make predictions about future events. AI can help a self-driving automobile identify traffic lights so it can stop at the red ones.
* Decision making - Artificial intelligence systems can take decisions for us. Your phone can recognise faces and suggest friends to call.
